2018 Auto Expo: BMW Motorrad’s New Adventure Bikes Are Coming To India

The new BMW F750 GS and F 850 GS features sharper styling, monocoque frame, new technology and a bigger 853cc engine as compared to the 798cc engine of the previous model. The overall design is borrowed from its elder sibling the R 1200 GS. The new 853cc parallel-twin engine is offered in two power options, 76bhp and 83Nm of torque in the F750 and 83.8bhp and 92Nm of torque in the F850. BMW also stated that the new 270-degree firing order would result in a powerful exhaust note.

Another prominent change in the new F750 GS and F850 GS is the new monocoque frame with new suspension geometry and fuel tank position which has now moved to a conventional location of behind the handlebars rather than the under seat position.

The BMW F750 and F850 get new front forks in the form of 41mm telescopic and 43mm upside down unit respectively. At the rear, the suspension duties are handled by monoshock set up. BMW also offers electronic suspension adjustment (ESA) as an option.

Both the motorcycles come equipped with multiple riding modes, ABS and ASC as standard. BMW Motorrad also offers other optional equipment such as a multi-function instrument cluster and LED lighting.


BMW Motorrad will launch both the motorcycles at the 2018 Auto Expo and will be brought to India via CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. The F750 and F850 will be the most affordable adventure bikes from the stable of German manufacturer in the country.
